Elise Kova

Elise Kova is an American fantasy author known for romantic fantasy aimed at young adult and adult readers. She began writing as a schoolgirl and started what became her debut series, Air Awakens, as a web serial before self-publishing it in 2015; she became a full-time writer the following year. Her books, including the Air Awakens quartet, the Loom Saga, the Golden Guard Trilogy, the Vortex Chronicles, and the Married to Magic and Wish Quartet series, favor slow-burn romance and emotionally driven magic systems over explicit content. Kova has been a number-one New York Times and Sunday Times bestseller, with her novels translated into more than ten languages. After years of independent publishing through her own imprint, Silver Wing Press, she moved into hybrid publishing, releasing titles with traditional houses such as Del Rey and Hodderscape alongside her indie work.
