Elizabeth Chandler is the pen name of Mary Claire Helldorfer, an American author of young-adult fiction who also writes children's picture books under her own name. As Elizabeth Chandler, she launched the romance series Kissed by an Angel in 1995, a New York Times bestseller that grew to six books and continued through Everlasting, Evercrossed, and Everafter (2013). She also writes the interconnected Dark Secrets suspense series, pairing mystery and danger across volumes including Legacy of Lies and Don't Tell, No Time to Die and The Deep End of Fear, and The Back Door of Midnight. A graduate of Mercy High School in Baltimore, Helldorfer has built a career moving between ghost-tinged teen romance as Chandler and other children's and family stories under her given name.
