Elizabeth Lim is an American author of young adult fantasy who grew up between Northern California and Tokyo, immersed in fairy tales and myth from an early age and writing fan fiction from the age of ten. She holds degrees from Harvard College and a doctorate in music composition from the Juilliard School, and worked as a film and video-game composer before turning to fiction in graduate school. A #1 New York Times bestseller, she is best known for fairy-tale retellings steeped in Asian folklore, including the Blood of Stars duology (Spin the Dawn, Unravel the Dusk) and Six Crimson Cranes and its sequel The Dragon's Promise, as well as several novels in Disney's Twisted Tale series. She lives in New York City.
