Elle James

Elle James is the pen name of an American author of romantic suspense and paranormal romance, born on Fairchild Air Force Base near Spokane, Washington, and raised as a military dependent across Montana, Texas, California, and Washington. She served eleven years in the U.S. Army Reserve and nine in the Air Force Reserve, then worked as an IT manager before leaving that career in 2004 to write full-time. A New York Times and USA Today bestseller with more than two hundred books to her name, she is known for military and small-town romantic-suspense series as well as supernatural romances such as the voodoo-inflected Cajun Magic Mysteries, the shapeshifter-focused Chattox Sisters, and the time-travel Time Raiders line. She also writes under the pen names Myla Jackson and Mary Ellen, and runs her own publishing imprint, Twisted Page Inc., from Northwest Arkansas.
