Ellen Schreiber

Ellen Schreiber is an American author of young-adult paranormal fiction who began her career as a performer and stand-up comedian, studying Shakespearean theater at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London and comedy at Chicago's Second City. She is a New York Times bestselling author best known for the Vampire Kisses series, following goth teenager Raven Madison's romance with a vampire, beginning with the 2003 title novel and continuing through Kissing Coffins, The Coffin Club, and Royal Blood; the series was later adapted into the manga Vampire Kisses: Blood Relatives. She also wrote the Full Moon series and standalone novels including Teenage Mermaid. Schreiber's brother, author Mark Schreiber, helped launch her writing career, and her fiction is characterized by a light, comedic tone layered over supernatural young-adult romance.
