F. T. Lukens

F. T. Lukens is an American author of young adult fantasy known for blending adventure plotting with warm, unapologetically queer romance. Their novel So This Is Ever After (2022) follows a young hero who defeats the Big Bad only to discover he must marry his best friend within a year or die, and sits alongside standalone fantasies including In Deeper Waters (2021), Spell Bound (2023), and Otherworldly (2024). Lukens also writes the contemporary fantasy Rules series, beginning with The Rules and Regulations for Mediating Myths & Magic (2017), and the science-fiction adventure Monster of the Week (2019). The Rules and Regulations won a gold INDIES Award and a Bisexual Book Award and appeared on the American Library Association's Rainbow List. Lukens centers bisexual and gay teenage protagonists navigating found family, magic, and first love in equal measure.
