G. D. Penman

G. D. Penman is a British fantasy writer, born in 1986, known for blending humor with pulpy genre conventions across several ongoing series. With Luke Chmilenko, Penman co-writes Savage Dominion, a progression-fantasy/LitRPG series about a soldier drawn into a war among lunar gods, and Deepest Dungeon, a stat-driven virtual-reality LitRPG featuring ratmen and cosmic horror. Solo, Penman writes Witch of Empire, an urban fantasy noir series starring an Irish lesbian witch detective, and Hat Trick, a pun-filled comic fantasy about a wizard transformed into a hat. With David Estes, Penman also co-writes The Last King, an epic fantasy trilogy involving dragons, assassinations, and prophecy. Penman's work spans traditional and self-publishing and ranges freely across noir, comedy, and epic fantasy registers.
