G. Wells Taylor

G. Wells Taylor is a Canadian author from Oakville, Ontario, who self-publishes across several genre series, most notably The Variant Effect, a zombie-apocalypse saga beginning with Skin Eaters that follows survivors navigating a fractured North America overrun by mutated undead. He also writes the noir-inflected Wildclown Mysteries, following a hard-boiled detective in an afterlife-adjacent city, along with the horror series The Corpse and Madhouse and the pulp adventure Dracula of the Apes. Taylor distributes much of his backlist through free ebook promotions and direct sales from his own website, building a following largely outside traditional publishing.
