Gabrielle Zevin

Gabrielle Zevin (born 1977) is an American novelist and screenwriter from New York City, educated at Harvard. She first reached genre readers with Elsewhere (2005), a young-adult novel imagining the afterlife as a mirror version of Earth, followed by the Birthright trilogy — All These Things I've Done, Because It Is My Blood, and In the Age of Love and Chocolate — a Prohibition-flavored near-future saga following a crime family's teenage heir. Zevin later moved into adult fiction and screenwriting, adapting several of her own books and other properties for film, and won broad recognition for The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, the latter a Goodreads Choice Award winner for fiction. Her work spans speculative premises and contemporary drama, often centered on memory, chance, and reinvention.
