Gary A. Braunbeck

Gary A. Braunbeck is an American author of horror, science fiction, fantasy, and mystery fiction, born in Newark, Ohio, in 1960 - the city that inspired the fictional town of Cedar Hill at the center of much of his work. He has published close to 200 short stories in venues including The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction, Cemetery Dance, and the Cat Crimes mystery anthology series, alongside novels such as In Silent Graves, Keepers, and Coffin County set within his interconnected Cedar Hill mythos. He has also contributed tie-in fiction to media franchises including Xena: Warrior Princess and Mercedes Lackey's Valdemar. Braunbeck taught creative writing in the low-residency MFA program in Writing Popular Fiction at Seton Hill University and has co-edited horror anthologies, including an installment of the Masques series.
