Genevieve Cogman is a British fantasy author best known for The Invisible Library series, which follows Librarians who travel between alternate versions of Earth to recover rare books for an interdimensional Library that quietly holds chaos and order in balance. The sequence began with The Invisible Library in 2015 and ran to eight novels, blending detective-story plotting with dragons, fae, and steampunk-inflected worldbuilding; she followed it with the Scarlet Revolution trilogy, set during an alternate French Revolution. Before and alongside her fiction career, Cogman has worked in healthcare data classification and written for tabletop role-playing games including GURPS, In Nomine, Exalted, and a Dresden Files RPG sourcebook. She lives and works in the north of England.
