Geoffrey Thorne

Geoffrey Thorne is an American writer, born in 1970 in Washington, D.C., who moved from acting into screenwriting, prose fiction, and comics. Before turning to writing, he played Officer Wilson Sweet on the television series In the Heat of the Night. In prose, he is known for Star Trek fiction, including the Deep Space Nine and Voyager tie-in lines and the Titan novel Sword of Damocles, as well as his original Dreamnasium series. His television writing credits include Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Leverage, Ben 10, and The Librarians, and he served as head writer on the animated special Avengers Assemble: Black Panther's Quest. He placed second in Simon & Schuster's sixth annual Strange New Worlds short-story competition, and later co-founded the studio GENRE 19 and the independent press The Winterman Project.
