Gillian Philip

Gillian Philip, born on 2 July 1964, is a British author who lives in the northeast Scottish Highlands. She is best known for writing under the collaborative pen name Erin Hunter, contributing several books to the Survivors series and the first six novels of the Bravelands series, and toured the United States twice as the public face of the Erin Hunter Survivors books. Under her own name she has written the Rebel Angels fantasy series and the Darke Academy books for younger readers, along with The Gathering Darkness story arc. Philip's work spans animal-perspective adventure fiction for young readers and darker, faerie-themed fantasy for teenagers, reflecting a career built across both collaborative franchise writing and independently authored series.
