Gitty Daneshvari

Gitty Daneshvari is an American author of humorous children's and middle-grade fiction, born in Los Angeles. She is best known for the School of Fear series, a comic horror-adventure about a boarding school for children with extreme phobias, and for the Ghoulfriends series set within Mattel's Monster High universe, following the human friends of the franchise's monster characters through books including Ghoulfriends Forever and Ghoulfriends Just Want to Have Fun. Daneshvari's fiction combines slapstick humor with monster and horror tropes reworked for a young audience, and she has appeared at young-adult literary festivals such as YALLFest alongside other prominent YA and middle-grade authors.
