Glen Hirshberg

Glen Hirshberg (born June 5, 1966, in Royal Oak, Michigan) is an American horror writer. His debut novel, The Snowman's Children, drew on a real serial-killer case that terrorized his own Detroit-area neighborhood when he was a boy. Hirshberg is known for atmospheric, character-driven horror fiction: his collection The Two Sams won an International Horror Guild Award for outstanding collection, and his story "The Janus Tree" won a Shirley Jackson Award. With Peter Atkins and Dennis Etchison, he co-founded the Rolling Darkness Revue, a touring reading series for horror writers. His Motherless Child trilogy, comprising Motherless Child, Good Girls, and Nothing to Devour, follows two young mothers turned into vampires while fleeing a stalking predator. He teaches and lives in the Los Angeles area.
