Gwyn Cready (born 1962) is an American author of paranormal romance novels known for comedic time-travel plots, many set in her native Pittsburgh. After a career as a pharmaceutical brand manager, she published her debut novel, Tumbling Through Time, in 2007, about a woman transported to a privateer ship in 1705 by a pair of magical sandals. Her second novel, Seducing Mr. Darcy, sends its heroine into the world of Pride and Prejudice and won the Romance Writers of America's RITA Award for Best Paranormal Romance Novel in 2009. Publishers Weekly called her debut "a joy" and likened her comic sensibility to Janet Evanovich. Her other novels include Flirting with Forever, Aching for Always, and Timeless Desire.
