Harry Connolly is an American fantasy author based in Seattle. He is best known for the Twenty Palaces series, narrated by ex-con Ray Lilly, who works for a secretive society of sorcerers policing the use of dangerous magic; the books blend urban fantasy with mystery plotting and take place largely in the Pacific Northwest. The original trilogy, beginning with Child of Fire (2009), was published by Del Rey before being cancelled in 2011 due to sales figures, after which Connolly moved to self-publishing further volumes, including a prequel and additional entries such as The Iron Gate and The Flood Circle. He has since written other series, including The Great Way and City of Fallen Gods.
