Heide Goody

Heide Goody is a British author of comic fantasy, best known for co-writing the Clovenhoof series with regular writing partner Iain Grant. The books follow Jeremy Clovenhoof, a bored and mischief-prone Satan who takes early retirement to an ordinary flat in Birmingham, England, with predictably chaotic results for his human neighbors. Goody and Grant have expanded the world across spin-offs including Clovenhoof's Diary and short-story collections, and built further comic fantasy series set in and around the same absurdist version of the English Midlands, including Oddjobs, about a council department that manages eldritch horrors as a bureaucratic nuisance, and Sprite Brigade. Across dozens of books, their partnership has become known for irreverent, very British humor applied to demons, angels, and office politics alike.
