Heidi Lang is an American author of children's and middle-grade fantasy, writing frequently in partnership with co-author Kati Bartkowski. Together they created the Mystic Cooking Chronicles, following apprentice cook Lailu Loganberry through a fantasy world built around culinary magic, beginning with A Dash of Dragon (2017) and continuing through A Hint of Hydra (2018) and A Pinch of Phoenix (2019). The pair also wrote the middle-grade horror-adventure Whispering Pines (2020) and its sequels Reckoning (2022) and Extinction (2023), collected together as The Whispering Pines Series (2024), as well as the standalone novel Infestation (2021).
