Hong Heesu

Hong Heesu is a South Korean author of romance-fantasy web fiction. She is best known for Daddy, I Don't Want to Marry! (also released in English as Father, I Don't Want This Marriage!), a multi-volume romantic-fantasy novel centered on a noblewoman navigating an arranged marriage within a powerful, controlling family, published from 2021 onward. Hong has also written Flower of Steel, another work in the same genre. Her fiction follows the conventions of the Korean web-novel "romance fantasy" tradition — serialized fiction blending family or court intrigue, arranged-marriage plots, and fantastical settings — aimed primarily at an online and mobile-reading audience in Korea and, through translation, abroad.
