Iain McLaughlin is a Scottish writer, born in Dundee in 1967, who works across comics, prose fiction, and audio drama. Beginning to publish genre fiction in the mid-2000s, he became the overall series editor for Erimem, a shared-world time-travel series centered on a companion character he co-created within the Doctor Who universe, writing entries across its short fiction, Telos novellas, and collected adventures. He has also written for the Iris Wildthyme range and the Time Hunter shared universe, and contributed a season of scripts to the revived Tomorrow People television series. Much of his radio and prose work is co-written with Claire Bartlett, with whom he has produced numerous Doctor Who-adjacent audio dramas and horror radio scripts, and he has also collaborated with Julianne Todd on other shared-world projects.
