India Holton

India Holton is the pen name of a New Zealand author who writes fantasy romance and romantic comedy. She deliberately shares little about her personal life; she is autistic and her novels frequently include neurodivergent characters. Holton is best known for the Dangerous Damsels series, which opens with The Wisteria Society of Lady Scoundrels and continues with The League of Gentlewomen Witches and The Secret Service of Tea and Treason. She has cited Diana Wynne Jones's Howl's Moving Castle and the film Romancing the Stone as influences on her blend of whimsical world-building and romance. Holton has also begun the companion series Love's Academic, and in late 2025 sold further novels, including a romantic horror title, to a new publisher.
