Intisar Khanani

Intisar Khanani is an author of young adult fantasy from Eau Claire, Wisconsin. She writes fairy-tale retellings and secondary-world fantasy centered on resourceful heroines negotiating class, power, and belonging. She is best known for Thorn, a retelling of the Brothers Grimm tale "The Goose Girl," and for the Sunbolt Chronicles, beginning with the novella Sunbolt (2013), which follows a young mage entangled in a rebellion against a corrupt ruling council. Her work has built a dedicated following among readers drawn to socially conscious fantasy that centers characters often marginalized in traditional fairy tales.
