J. A. Andrews

J. A. Andrews is an author of epic fantasy best known for The Keeper Chronicles, a trilogy beginning with A Threat of Shadows that follows a young sorceress and a small band of companions defending their world against a rising darkness. Andrews later added a prequel trilogy, The Keeper Origins, beginning with Dragon's Reach, exploring the history behind the Keeper Chronicles' founding characters, and has continued to expand the setting with further Keeper Universe novels such as Mistlight and Runelight. Andrews also wrote a shorter fantasy tale, A Keeper's Tale: The Story of Tomkin and the Dragon. The books favor a traditional epic tone built around found-family companionship and a slow-building magical mythology.
