J. A. Henderson

J. A. Henderson is the pen name of Jan-Andrew Henderson (born 1962), a Scottish author from Dundee who writes across children's, teen, and adult fiction and non-fiction. His debut, The Town Below the Ground (1999), grew out of his research into Edinburgh's hidden underground streets and led him to found the City of the Dead ghost-walk tours and the production company Black Hart Entertainment. As J. A. Henderson he is best known for the young-adult thriller Bunker 10 and its Dark Scotland successors, alongside the Secret City (Galhadrian Trilogy) fantasy books and the darkly comic That Is So Wrong! series. He has contributed to the Aurealis Award-winning anthology Relics, Wrecks and Ruins alongside writers such as Neil Gaiman, and serves as a mentor for the Horror Writers Association.
