Jack Castle

Jack Castle is a pen name of Chris Tortora, an American author who spent about a decade as a professional stuntman at Universal Studios and also worked as a police officer. His debut novel, Europa Journal (2015), is a first-contact space opera that echoes films like Close Encounters of the Third Kind before expanding into wider science-fictional territory, and the same year he published the supernatural thriller Bedlam Lost. Writing as Jack Castle, he went on to build the longer-running Stranger World series, which follows the same speculative, high-concept approach across further volumes including Stranger Realm, Stranger Tides, and Stranger Origins, along with the related Stranger Worlds sequence.
