Jana Oliver is an American author, an Iowa native who now lives in Portugal, writing across urban fantasy, romance, science fiction, and historical mystery. She is best known for the young-adult Demon Trappers series, signed by St. Martin's Press in 2009, which follows a teenage apprentice demon-hunter in a near-future Atlanta and has been translated into multiple languages. Her Time Rovers trilogy, a Victorian-set time-travel series originally published by Dragon Moon Press, won a ForeWord Magazine Editor's Choice Book of the Year award, the first science-fiction novel so honored, along with multiple Independent Publisher Gold Medals. Oliver has also written the two-book Dragonfire series as Jana G. Oliver and a mystery series under the pseudonym Chandler Steele.
