Janci Patterson

Janci Patterson is an American young-adult author born in 1982 in California. She is best known for her contributions to Brandon Sanderson's Cytoverse, including the Skyward Flight novellas (ReDawn, Sunreach, Evershore) co-written with Sanderson and other collaborators, which expand on side characters from the main Skyward series, as well as the standalone Cytoverse novel Blightfall. Beyond that shared universe, she has written the Thousand Faces series (A Thousand Faces, A Million Shadows) and the Five Lands Saga, along with contributions to the Bastille vs. the Evil Librarians franchise. Patterson's writing focuses on close, emotionally driven coming-of-age narratives, often embedded within larger collaborative science fiction and fantasy worlds built alongside other authors.
