Jason Henderson

Jason Henderson (born 1971) is an American writer of young-adult fiction and comics who grew up partly in Dallas, Texas and now lives in Colorado. He is best known for the Alex Van Helsing series, contemporary vampire-hunter adventures beginning with Vampire Rising and continuing through Voice of the Undead and The Triumph of Death, later extended into the younger-reader spin-off Young Captain Nemo. Henderson has also written extensively in comics, including the Sword of Dracula series and work for Marvel and Image, and co-created the manga series Psy-Comm with collaborator Tony Salvaggio, with whom he also produces the Castle of Horror podcast and anthology. His fantasy series The Iron Thane, also known as The Macduff Saga, and a Highlander tie-in novel round out a career mixing horror, adventure, and licensed fiction. Vampire Rising was selected for the Texas Library Association's Lone Star Reading List.
