Jeff Strand

Jeff Strand is an American author born in 1970, known as "The Clown Prince of Horror" for blending dark humor with horror-comedy, thriller, and young-adult fiction. He worked for nearly two decades as a remittance service analyst at MetLife before turning to writing full time in 2015. His debut, Graverobbers Wanted (No Experience Necessary) (2000), set the tone for a prolific career built on sparse, comedic prose influenced by Douglas Adams, Richard Laymon, and Jack Ketchum; he is also known for the Wolf Hunt series and the collaborative novel Draculas, co-written with J. A. Konrath, Blake Crouch, and F. Paul Wilson. He has been nominated for the Bram Stoker Award five times, winning Best Long Fiction in 2022 for Twentieth Anniversary Screening, and has twice won the Splatterpunk Award.
