Jen Calonita

Jen Calonita is an American author of middle-grade and young-adult fiction, born in 1974 in Mineola, New York, known for reimagining fairy tales and Disney stories. Her Fairy Tale Reform School series follows the children of storybook villains sent to a reform school run by former antagonists, beginning with Flunked. She is also a regular contributor to Disney Publishing Worldwide's licensed fiction, writing entries in the A Twisted Tale series that reimagine classic Disney films around a single changed moment, and contributing to the Frozen franchise with Conceal, Don't Feel. Her other work includes the Royal Academy Rebels and Isle of Ever series, along with contributions to the American Girl book line. Calonita's novels combine fairy-tale and franchise material with contemporary, often comic, storytelling for younger readers.
