Jeri Smith-Ready

Jeri Smith-Ready is an American author of urban fantasy and young-adult paranormal fiction, born in 1969 in Pennsylvania. Active in speculative fiction fandom as well as publishing, she was a Special Guest of Honor, alongside Christian Ready, at the 2002 ConClave science fiction convention in Lansing, Michigan. She is known for the WVMP Radio series, which follows a radio station staffed entirely by vampire deejays and the reporter drawn into their world, beginning with Wicked Game, and for the Aspect of Crow duology, a fantasy pairing beginning with Eyes of Crow. Her young-adult Shade series, beginning with Shade, follows a teenager who can see and communicate with ghosts after a mysterious global event changes the rules of death itself.
