Jessica Khoury

Jessica Khoury, born in 1990 in Toccoa, Georgia, is an American author of young adult and middle-grade fantasy and science fiction. She debuted with Origin (2012), a science-driven thriller set in the Amazon rainforest, followed by the loosely connected novels Vitro (2014) and Kalahari (2015). She also writes the Mystwick School of Musicraft series, beginning in 2019 and continuing with Sparrow Rising (2021), centered on a school where music powers magic, and the Skyborn duology. Her other novels include The Forbidden Wish (2016) and Last of Her Name (2019). Khoury's work spans invented mythologies, boarding-school and academy settings, and adventure plots aimed at younger readers, building her a following among middle-grade and YA fantasy audiences.
