Jill Dembowski

Jill Dembowski is an American writer who co-authored volumes of James Patterson's Witch & Wizard young adult fantasy series, credited alongside him on The Fire and The Kiss. The series follows two teenage siblings, Whit and Wisty, who discover they have inherited magical powers just as a totalitarian regime begins banning art, music, and imagination outright. Like the franchise's other installments, each of which pairs Patterson with a different co-writer, Dembowski's volumes carried the story forward within a fantasy world already established by earlier books in the series, continuing its resistance-against-censorship plot toward its conclusion.
