Jodi Meadows

Jodi Meadows is an American author of young adult fantasy, born in 1983 and based near Austin, Texas. She co-writes the Lady Janies series with Brodi Ashton and Cynthia Hand, a comic alternate-history reimagining of Tudor England that began with My Lady Jane (2016) and continued through My Plain Jane, My Calamity Jane, and My Contrary Mary; the first novel was adapted into an eight-episode Amazon Prime Video series in 2024. On her own, Meadows writes the Incarnate duology, about a girl who is the only new soul born into a world of endlessly reincarnated others, and the Orphan Queen series, following a deposed princess turned thief-spy, later followed by the Fallen Isles fantasy novels Before She Ignites and Nightrender.
