John French

John French is a British author of tie-in fiction for Games Workshop's Warhammer 40,000 setting, publishing extensively through the Black Library imprint. He is a major contributor to the Horus Heresy series, writing novels including The Solar War, Slaves to Darkness, and Praetorian of Dorn, and created the Ahriman trilogy following the renegade Thousand Sons sorcerer through the setting's grimdark far future. His other work includes the Horusian Wars series and the investigative Agent of the Throne novellas, alongside contributions to the Age of Sigmar fantasy setting. French's fiction is known for weaving psychological and philosophical questions about loyalty and corruption into the large-scale military conflicts of the Warhammer 40,000 universe.
