John Kenneth Muir is an American media historian, critic and speculative fiction author. He has written more than 35 reference books in the fields of film and television, with a particular focus on the horror and science fiction genres. He is the former department chair for Humanities and Social Sciences at South Piedmont Community College, North Carolina, a position he served from 2018-2021.
