John R. Fultz is an American writer of fantasy and horror fiction from Kentucky. He is best known for the Books of the Shaper trilogy—Seven Princes, Seven Sorcerers, and Seven Kings—an epic fantasy sequence published by Orbit Books beginning in 2012, and for the Zang Cycle novel The Revelations of Zang. His shorter fiction has appeared in Cthulhu Mythos anthologies and elsewhere, including the story "This Is How the World Ends," and he has written the horror novella collection The Maddening of Amun Zah. Fultz has also written the Urbille and Scaleborn series, and the middle-grade Tall Eagle books, moving between sword-and-sorcery epic fantasy and cosmic horror across his body of work.
