Johnny Worthen is an American author born in 1966 who writes across horror, fantasy, and mystery. He is best known for The Unseen, a trilogy following characters named Eleanor, Celeste, and David through supernatural threats in the American West, and for the Coronam series, an alternate-history sequence including Of Kings, Queens and Colonies and Of Civilized, Saved and Savages. He also writes the Tony Flaner Mysteries, a contemporary detective series, and has contributed short fiction to Utah-focused horror anthologies through the League of Utah Writers' Infinite Monkey chapter. Worthen describes his creative identity in stark terms -- "I'm a writer. I write" -- reflecting a career that, after early detours, settled into writing as his central focus.
