Jon Steele

Jon Steele is an American author born in 1950 in Spokane, Washington, who spent decades as a television news cameraman covering conflicts worldwide; his work is the subject of the documentaries Reporters at War (2004) and Under Fire: Journalists in Combat (2012), and his footage of the Iraq War troop surge became the award-winning documentary series Baker Boys: Inside the Surge (2010). He recounted his journalism career in the memoir War Junkie (2002) before turning to fiction with the Angelus Trilogy, a supernatural thriller sequence set in Lausanne, Switzerland, beginning with The Watchers (2011) and continuing through Angel City (2013) and The Way of Sorrows (2015), blending noir detective plotting with angels, demons, and apocalyptic stakes.
