Jordan Stratford

Jordan Stratford is a Canadian author of children's fiction, as well as a screenwriter and former advertising creative director, filmmaker, and Vancouver Film School instructor who has also written for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. He is best known for the Wollstonecraft Detective Agency series, beginning with The Case of the Missing Moonstone, a steampunk mystery imagining young versions of Mary Shelley and Ada Lovelace solving crimes in Victorian London; the first volume sold some 40,000 copies in its first year. The series continued with The Case of the Girl in Grey and The Case of the Counterfeit Criminals, and was a finalist for the Sheila A. Egoff Children's Literature Prize, the Sakura Medal, and the Ontario Library Association's Silver Birch Award. Stratford has also written the illustrated novel Mechanicals and is an ordained Gnostic priest.
