Joseph Brassey

Joseph Brassey is an American author of fantasy and historical adventure fiction. He is one of several co-authors, alongside Neal Stephenson, Greg Bear, and others, behind The Mongoliad, a serialized historical fantasy saga set amid the Mongol invasions of medieval Europe that formed the core of the wider Foreworld Saga. He later launched his own series, The Drifting Lands, beginning with Skyfarer (2017) and continuing with Dragon Road (2018), which follows a sword-fighting airship crew across a fantastical sky-bound world. Brassey's fiction draws on his background in historical martial arts and combines swashbuckling action with richly imagined secondary worlds.
