Joseph Talluto is an American author of zombie-apocalypse fiction. He is best known for the White Flag of the Dead series, a long-running saga beginning with America the Dead that follows survivors of a zombie outbreak across the American Midwest through military, civilian, and political fronts, continuing through titles such as United States of the Dead, Last Stand of the Dead, and Dead Surge. He has expanded the same fictional apocalypse into spin-off series including The Zombie Wars, Born in the Apocalypse, and The Chronos Plague. Talluto's fiction is built around large ensemble casts and a sprawling, serialized timeline tracking the collapse and gradual reconstruction of American society after the outbreak.
