Josh Berk

Josh Berk, born in 1976 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, is an American author of fiction for children and teens and a career librarian, serving since 2014 as executive director of the Bethlehem Area Public Library. His debut YA novel, The Dark Days of Hamburger Halpin, won a Parents' Choice Silver Medal, and his baseball mystery Strike Three, You're Dead, opening the Lenny and the Mikes series, was an Edgar Award finalist. To younger readers he is known for Camp Murderface, co-written with Saundra Mitchell, a comic-horror series about a hapless camp counselor confronting supernatural mayhem, continued in Doom in the Deep. Berk holds degrees from Drew University and an MLIS from the University of Pittsburgh, and has taught writing and young-adult literature at the college level.
