Julie Berry is an American author of children's and young adult fiction, born in 1974. She holds a degree in communications from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MFA from Vermont College of Fine Arts, and worked in marketing before writing full-time. Her novels include the Printz Honor-winning The Passion of Dolssa, the bestselling World War I romance Lovely War, and the historical fantasy All the Truth That's in Me, alongside lighter fare such as the Spelling B chapter-book series and the Wishes and Wellingtons and B Magical middle-grade series. Her honors include the Golden Kite Award, the Amelia Elizabeth Walden Award, and two Whitney Awards. In 2021 she and her husband bought and restored an independent bookstore in her hometown.
