Julie Sykes is a British author of children's fiction, born in 1963, who has written more than a hundred books for young readers. She is best known for multi-book series such as Princess Ponies, Silver Dolphins, and Unicorn Academy Treasure Hunt, alongside the Pet Sitter and Nature Magic chapter-book series. Sykes frequently collaborates with fellow children's author Linda Chapman, and also publishes under the pen names Summer Waters and Skye Waters. She lives in the United Kingdom with her family and continues to publish steadily across her various series for early and middle-grade readers.
