Karen White

Karen White is an American novelist born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, who studied at Tulane University before turning to fiction. She is best known for her Tradd Street series, following Charleston preservationist and reluctant medium Melanie Middleton across novels including The House on Tradd Street and The Attic on Queen Street, and for the Royal Street series set in New Orleans. Her debut, In the Shadow of the Moon, was a finalist for the Romance Writers of America RITA Award, and The Girl on Legare Street reached the New York Times bestseller list. Many of her novels blend Southern gothic atmosphere, family secrets, and light supernatural elements against the low-country settings of the Carolinas. She has also co-written novels with Beatriz Williams and Lauren Willig. White lives near Atlanta, Georgia.
