Kate L. Mary

Kate L. Mary is an American author best known for the Broken World series, a long-running post-apocalyptic saga beginning with Broken World that follows survivors of a global pandemic navigating a collapsed society, expanding across sequels including Mad World and Silent World and the related Broken World Stories collection. She has also written the Oklahoma Wastelands books and The Outliers Saga, continuing her focus on dystopian survival fiction, along with the companion series Far and Twisted. Mary's fiction centers on resourceful characters rebuilding community and identity amid societal collapse, and the Broken World franchise in particular has become one of the more expansive self-published entries in the post-apocalyptic genre.
