Kathryn Meyer Griffith

Kathryn Meyer Griffith is an American author of horror and mystery novels, born in St. Louis, Missouri, in 1950. Across a writing career spanning several decades and more than thirty novels, she has worked most often at the border between the two genres, mixing supernatural threat with mystery plotting. She is best known for the Dinosaur Lake series, which began with the 2012 novel of the same name and grew into a bestselling franchise about surviving dinosaurs unearthed near a small American town; other recurring series include Witches and the Vampire Blood novels. Griffith publishes independently and maintains an active blog where she discusses the long publication history behind some of her books, several of which were written years before finally reaching print.
