Katya Reimann

Katya Reimann is an American fantasy author, born in 1965, who holds a bachelor's degree from Yale University and a PhD in eighteenth-century literature from the University of Oxford. She is best known for the Tielmaran Chronicles, a high-fantasy trilogy set in a Dark Ages-inflected world that began with Wind from a Foreign Sky and continued through A Tremor in the Bitter Earth and Prince of Fire and Ashes. In 1997 she was a nominee for the John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer. Reimann also completed The Wanderer, a novel in the late Cherry Wilder's Rulers of Hylor series. She cites T. H. White, eighteenth-century writers, and Rene Goscinny among her influences, and lives in St. Paul, Minnesota.
